"The mirror is spent" is actually the lens fogging, which should be the distress that every mirror-hander should encounter. If the picture of the laparoscope is to see flowers in the fog, the essential reason is that the temperature in the abdominal cavity is higher than the room temperature, so the fog in the abdominal cavity condenses into small droplets on the surface of the lens, causing the picture to be blurred. There are several ways to deal with it:
(1) Purchase endoscopic equipment with self-heating lens, but most brands do not have this function;
(2) Anti-fogging agent applied to the lens is expensive and costly;
(3) Iodophor gauze wiping, the cost is low, and the visual field is easy to turn yellow;
(4) Retract the lens into the Trocar, and use the relatively low-temperature CO2 airflow injected into the lens Trocar to make the field of vision clear, but it is easy to repeat;
(5) Soak the lens with hot water in a sterilizing thermos cup, and keep the water temperature at 60-70℃. The first soaking time for the lens is a little longer, about 1 minute, so that the lens can be fully preheated and higher than the temperature in the abdominal cavity.
After that, the soaking time after each lens blur is only a few seconds. This method is more cumbersome.
